Cheap, fresh and delicious. If there's something about that trinity that you don't like then you are a bad person.
This little place in my 'hood is always full of young Vietnamese folks - a good sign. The waitstaff is friendly, and the food is good - particularly the rice and noodle dishes. Not my favourite pho, but definitely still decent. They also have a surprisingly good beer list, and I love their fresh lime juice and soda/tea drinks.
They have the best vermicelli (Bun) laden with veggies, fresh sprouts, and a hearty portion of proteins. Also the freshest mango shake with a special ingredient that makes it worth waiting for.
Also known as "Choo Choo Train" to my best friend and I (hehe). It's a great place to have cheap pho (about $5). Try the avocado milkshake as well - it's totally worth its money.
The vermicelli and pho dishes are delicious. When you're in the mood for vermicelli, some grilled Vietnames meat, and a super spring roll, order #48.
Everyone loves pho! Or bun.
everything I've eaten there has been suspiciously top-notch. The pho is crazy good, as is the braised duck leg noodle soup. The main attraction is a fish tasting menu for 2. Fish and seafood are prepared 7 different ways, including thai curry, bbq fish cold rolls, and grilled fish on cracker.
And the prices are equally chin-scratch inducing. I always look for hidden cameras when they bring the bill.
It's consistently delicious and a great price!
One of the best Vietnamese restuarants on Spadina in downtown Toronto.
One of the best because of the higher quality of meats, noodles, rice etc. they use and the more seasoned and flavourful broths they use.
