A lovely old church at Bathurst and Lennox (one traffic light south of Honest Ed’s, across from Central Tech) is home to a lovely little theatre space. The building’s been around since 1888, and I bet the congregation back then would have been shocked to know that in 2008, their pulpit has being used to perform “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and “Footloose: the Musical”, thanks to the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $20 through TicketMaster.

Its very Beautiful with comfortable seating and great acoustics. We love going to see musicals and always look forward to them when they are at the Elgin.

Second City is fabulously witty. They are tuned into all the current trends and usually I find myself laughing so hard my stomach hurts.

I loved their acoustics, and colorful backdrops/props. It is important to have comfy seats for long plays, and this one does. Very well decorated foyer and easily accesible venue. But the sound system is what makes it for me at theatre productions.

Because they run Evil Dead the musical, duh!

Always fun, a great variety, the AUDIENCES rock, affordable and really what theatre should be. Accessible! I love it!

I love the Royal Alexandra Theatre! The interior is stunning. There's just something about this theatre that makes me happy.
