Salad bar

This place has great, healthy, affordable options! Get a salad ($5.95) or a salad wrap ($4.95), and choose all of your options from a checklist on a handy-dandy little clipboard while you wait in line. My favourite is a custom salad wrap with iceberg lettuce, tofu, chick peas, diced tomatoes, mandarin oranges and raisins - and sundried tomato dressing! Just hold on tight, it can get messy!

With a huge selection of delicious, creative salads and warm dishes, you'll find yourself filling a box with more than generic greens and toppings. A wee bit on the pricey side, I find it's worth the splurge when I just want a small taste of everything. Try some of the flavourful tempeh or seitan creations. Load up on lighter (weight-wise) fare as you pay by weight.

Located in the food court in Lawrence Square (Allen Rd. and Marlee-Lawrence West Station). This very fresh salad bar is available weekdays for lunch. Run by a friendly Korean couple, this salad bar features freshly made Korean veggie pancakes and Korean sweet potato glass thread noodles. They make them fresh every morning. In addition to several different salads, there is sushi, sticky rice, mini-wraps and other healthy choices. Priced by the pound, my lunch with coffee is always under $5.
