I'm a sucker for Shakespeare in the Park

The lobby is suitably grand (same as its downstairs sister the Elgin) but it's the theatre itself that is so cool. A garden motif, hence the name, is beautifully carried out by hanging leafs and pastoral murals. Also, has a neat collection of vaudeville backdrops on display. Close to the subway is a plus.

I've seen several shows there and really enjoyed them.

The location, the decor, the shows; they all help to create a wonderful evening. The shows are always great and a great time will always be had.

It has the most creative shows and lighting effects

I love it because they put on a wide variety of productions, they are active with the community, the theatre house is beautiful and right in the middle of the distilery district and they have great rates.
