it's a beautiful, big park (37 acres) with old, tall trees. the ravine (also known as the "dog bowl") in the park is a leash-free zone for dogs. a recreation centre, tennis courts, baseball field and kids playground also makes it a great place to take the family on a saturday afternoon.

it has the most incredible children's playground I've ever seen (informally called Castle Park) plus gardens, that wacky High Park Zoo, water play, ice cream ... and it's so big that you can easily feel like you've left the city altogether.

Something for the whole family - a gorgeous shaded play area, a baseball diamond and great walking paths for the dog. There is even a secret bike park for the groovy older kids.

It's huge and centrally located. Can get busy with tourists, but it's got all the store's I need and is less stressful and closer than Yorkdale.
