There are several things I love about the Revue: 1. the community rallied together to save it and it's now run not-for-profit by people authentically committed to your entertainment 2. the coconunt-oil-popped corn, with real butter, is AWESOME 3. the large screen and wicked sound system paired with the 1911-style theatre aesthetic make me happy as a clam. Oh ya, and that not-for-profit thing? It means tickets are cheap. And the ads they play before the show? Neighbourhood businesses. Nice.
The theatres are huge, the place is relatively new, the seats are comfy, and it is never too busy if you're willing to see a flick outside of opening weekend. Even if you go for opening night, the theatres are so big that you can be sure you'll get a seat.
execllent digital projection - nice old timey feel.
They play quality films and sometimes are the only theatre in the city playing a certain film that is more obscure.

Rue Morgue Cinemacabres are the best part of the month! And the Bloor is the perfect venue for the creepy classics or frightening flicks!
This is the bestttttt theatre ever! WIth huge screens and all crystal, crystal clear... I used to swear by Silvercity Richmond and thought the new AMC was the new ENEMYYYY but after my first movie I was sold and will always go see my movies there from here on... unless the moving isn't playing there.. but WOWWWW digital imaging technology for all their screensss.. it's a beautiful thing.
