The Tulip

The Tulip is around the corner from where I work (St. John's Cemetery) and I've taken lots of people (live) there for a nice lunch. When the owners wife died he brought her to our cemetery to be taken care of. Now that's faithful to your neightbourhood business!!!

it has thick steaks

Looks like an old diner, so it's really surprising the quality of the steaks that come out of the kitchen. I always have mine with the delicious home fries, and am usualy too full for dessert

It's extremely tasty and eggy and much better than I could make at home...

they have the absolute best home fries! And the coffee is always hot and fresh!

this is a no frills place but the steak is perfect....served with mashed potatoes and a big fat slice of tomato. The service is nothing to rave about but this is a neighborhood favorite (their breakfast is good too, lineups out the door on weekends)

the grease actually melted through the wax paper they wrapped it in.
