Beautiful lake view! Most of the time there is music and pretty lights at night. The rink is not too crowded, and there's always a hot chocolate or coffee nearby (should the cafe on site be closed, there's a Starbucks & Second Cup just a short walk away)!

skating in December - just after the ice freezes to a skateable 2”+ thickness, and before any heavy snow – is a great winter passtime. The pond freezes over with black ice - smooth as glass and transparent, so you can see the bottom as you skate over the shallows

it's a classic place to go ice skating, with a great mix of skaters of all types and abilities. It can get crowded, but half the fun is trying not to crash into anybody!
