Always done right. proper taste, proper crema, proper cup, proper temperature. Just damn good!

If you want to enjoy a really good expresso in a really nice italian bar, and feel like you are in Italy, definitely come here! There's nothing like it!

It's very good. Grab a twisted puff pastry glazed with orange zest at Bonjour Brioche down the street, and then have an espresso at Mercury for an awesome breakfast. While Bonjour Brioche doesn't have the best pastry in the city, its proximity to Mercury is why I have included it here. If you can, grab a croissant at Celestin (NE corner Mt. Pleasant & Manor Road) and then head to Mercury. But even I am not that food-obsessed to do that... well maybe only once a month.

Manic is the espresso lovers coffee shop. They use Intelligentsia beans (http://www.intelligentsiacoffee.com/), which I haven't been able to get since leaving Vancouver, and the baristas assemble their drinks with great pride. I think I actually recognize one of the baristas from Cafe Artigiano in Vancouver - which serves quite possibly the best espresso coffee in the country. If you love espresso, go here. Quickly!

It's all in the roasting of the beans.

Their socially conscious practices, fair-trade and organic beans are blended for me, roasted each week to perfection! It is because of them that my espresso and French-Press coffee is exceptional!

its a great quality bean and I'd say its most similar to European espresso that i've had in Toronto.
