Mmmm... steamy windows! The bagels are so hot and fresh that the windows are always damp. Love it. The shop on Eglinton is tops, but the St Lawrence Market stand will do in a pinch. The bagels are amazing Montreal-style: small, chewy, sweet and dense. Perfection.

I love watching the baker put the raw bagels into the brick oven and what I like even more is eating a warm fresh bagel. I do wish this city would wake up and make Bialys as well. New York and the entire eastern seaboard makes them. You can find Bialys anywhere a good bagel is sold. Wake up Toronto, give us Bialys!

Toronto's bagels have a tendency to be more of a bun than a bagel. I'm no lover of Montreal, bu there they get bagels. This is the closest in TO to Montreal, and proper style, bagels. Texture is dense but not a teeth puller and right amount of saltiness! Dee-lish!
