It's all about the Pho. Don't go for ambience
cold rolls are the freshest in the city!!!!
Soooo good. I love me some pho and this place is quick, good and cheap.
For a mere $5 you get a huge bowl of deeeelicious pho! The salad rolls and bun are also excellent!
Their soups are huge, their fried veggie spring rolls taste like chicken wings, and they have frog and knuckle on the menu.
I like the new reno, it's clean and shiny in there now and the chicken noodle pho rocks. The deep fried spring rolls aren't too shabby either. Deliciously greasy.
That thinly sliced beef in a beautful ball cooking on top of broth and noodles. It's perfect.
The best Pho broth (i think it's even better than Pho Hung!).
An alternative to Golden Turtle, the pho at Pho Phuong in the same ‘hood makes a great substitute and the dishes are pretty much the same price.
It's the perfect winter dish, consisting of broth, noodles, bean sprouts, basil, chilies, coriander, a squeeze of lime and hot sauce if you like. Yum!
This place just knows how to make pho. I could and do eat this everyday; superb.
The service is super fast which makes it an ideal lunch spot. Always crazily busy, and catering to families, groups of friends and local workers, Golden Turtle serves the most delicious pho in town. And, you might even manage a Susur Lee spotting if you're lucky.
Their soup is delicious. Their portions are generous. They give you sauce in those large squeeze bottles, like it should be. Their spring rolls are to die for. And it's "sister" Pho restaurant on Spadina, doesn't compare!

The broth isnt too greasy, the meat is flavourful and tender. Plus the new renovation makes it my favourite place to eat lunch on Spadina. Also, you cant beat the price!
It is one of many reasons I miss working in Parkdale. Don't be alarmed by the huge fish swimming in isolation in its tank & just focus on the rich, fragrant flavours swimming in your warm bowl. The broth that carries the slices of delicate meat, tendon, tripe (whatever you fancy) is complex enough to get your tastebuds hyped up, but still exudes simple comfort. While the noodles are made from dry rice sticks (like in the entire city & unlike in Vietnam), they have a great, chewy texture.
With so few ingredients, it's really easy to go wrong with a simple dish like Rare Beef Pho: the most basic noodle soup config available. This pimp bowl has Pho's in different area codes.

The quality of the noodles is always good and the soup base (essential!) is great.

The food is delicious and it's ideally located between chinatown and kensington market. Not to mention to awesome vietnemese-style coffee.
Cheap and delicious noodles. Booyah.
it's the best pho in town. I go there every week!
