Best because: the size, the music, the open sky. My husband and I fell in love skating on this rink. The trip down to the waterfront carrying skates on the streetcar always gets me excited like a little kid. What I would change: a few less fast-skating dangerous jerks would be nice.

I love skating outdoors in the cold. It's such a different experience than an indoor rink. I've done the same in Quebec City. I love it! It's great fun, great exercise, and a wonderful outing. Try it. You'll love it.

It is an interesting shape, there is a great view of the lake, there is an indoor change room and you can get a nice warm hot chocolate!

Skating is a nice winter activity and Nathan Phillips Square provides a great atmosphere for enjoying a skate around the ice. At night is the best when the lights are lit.

It's the best rink in the city, tucked away by the lake. It's a great place to spend a cold January afternoon, working off the pounds after the holidays are over and you're bored and looking for something fun to do.

It feels like you are in a different city looking out onto the lake and there is a great apres ski feel to it with hot chocolate, drinks and snacks in the resto on the side. Lights up at night.
