shopping!!!! and great food!
Where else can you eat, shop for the house, do groceries, pick up neat nik nacs, and be immersed in different culture! A telling moment for me was when I (an east indian) took my east asian students (chinese, korean, and japanese) for lunch to a vietnamese restaurant and we sat beside a hispanic family! This is why I love toronto!
Amazing diversity and eclectic and intellectual mix of people. You can find that book from the past, an avant garde film, or antiques from overseas. You have to check out all the bookstores and music stores in the area, between sumptuous lattes, thai pad thai, and italian seafood, while walking down the Tafelmusik practicing on the street side. A truly unique TO cultural experience.
Lots of great shopping and fun to fill the day. The street festivals are great too!
I can enjoy the sun and water!
you can sit in a cafe or perouse through a wide variety of interesting shops. Kensington Market really allows you to let loose and get away from the corporate world that you are surrounded by on a daily basis.
quiet, relaxing environment. it's great to relax in the sun with a nice neighbouring area.
it's a great place to explore for an afternoon
you can buy almost anything there
