This cinema still has seats for couples. small skinny couples but still. great venue for old flicks.
Cheap movies.
No commercials.
Sticky floors.
Long live the Bloor!
It shows good quality moves, movies that have been in film festivals, classics and also recent box office hits.
It's a cozy single screen theatre. The price is great and popcorn doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.
It's the perfect place to do the time warp again
This historical rep cinema is home to Rue Morgue Cinemacabre Movie Nights every third thursday of the month. Rue Morgue presents advance and special screenings of new, rare and classic horror films once a month. It's always a great opportunity to see old classics, advanced screenings of anticipated releases and to catch them on the big screen.
You can always find off the beaten track movies there.
it's small and cozy and retro in a way that just makes movies better. I don't really like negotiating the maze of overpriced snackfood purveyors and umpteen viewing rooms at the big multiplexes. I like the carpety kitsch, balcony option, and intimate feeling of a small cinema like my neighbourhood Bloor.
it has a great atmosphere
