the potatoes are delicious, the rice is sticky and soft and full of veggies, the chicken and gyros are always deliciously cooked, and the pita is unlike any plain ol' pita because of the secret "stuff" they add to it...mmmmmm
The greek salad is perfectly tossed with the right amount of dressing. The souvlakis are never dry and the taziki is garlicky & delicious! One of the best & most consistent Greek place in the city.

Their Greek salad and Greek fries are ULTRA delicious!!! Healthy food, great taste and well priced.
BEST GREEK FOOD AROUND ! GREAT PORTIONS ! TRY THE WALNUT CAKE ! DELICIOUS !
THE TASTE AND ATMOSPHERE IN THIS GREAT AREA OF TORONTO SHOULD BE ON THE ITINERARY OF ANYONE VISITING THE BIG SMOKE.
It has the most delicious Greek items on the menu as well as items to tempt everyones tastebuds. The Greek Salad with Salmon was absolutely exquisite!!!
Heavy on the carbs with all the rice and potatoes but hey it's Greek! Decent salad, but really tender and finely-flavoured lamb. Shots of Ouzo are fun after the meal. Nice side-walk patio, although sometimes inhaling car fumes and being harassed by bums isn't appetizing, so indoors is a good option too.
Even though I live in the most western part of the city, I will bus/dive/walk/bike/crawl through Toronto to have dinner at Astoria.
I've been going to this place for souvlaki since I could eat solid food. And they don't mess with a good thing, because the menu has stayed pretty much the same my entire 20 years of being on Earth. They're not cheap on anything, maintaining a high quality of food and of service. Fresh salads, tender meat, flaming cheese... it's all good.
They take the word "authentic" seriously. My brother spent 4 weeks in Greece last fall and turned me on to this place. He drives all the way in from Hamilton several times a month just for the food here. He said that the gyros here is *exactly* the same as what he ate in Greece, right to the fries stuck int he sandwich. A word of warning. Put a napkin on your lap or eat over your plate when having the gyros. The juice that flows from these monsters will bork a pair of jeans pronto.

excellent sevice!
try the saganaki, kefalotiri cheese flambéed with the Greek aperitif Ouzo. Opa!
