the red lighting (have been there since it moved though)
Used to be my watering hole whenever I just needed that beer alone. Too bad they renovated it and made it classier.
while being far from the classiest bar out there, they have a pretty great selection of beer at good prices. The nachos are pretty good too.
This dive bar was the classic place to hang out back in the 90's. Unfortunately it was closed most likely due to illegal activities and depressing people.
a good place to admire the decor and meet interesting and engaging fellows.
Maybe somewhere to be avoided on a night on the weekend, because it gets a bit rough, but during the week it's got a perfect patio, and it's usually just the right balance between busy and empty. Also, a little bird told me you may or may not be able to smoke certain cigarette alternatives on the patio...
It was a hard time choosing this over the Daughter, but look, they take canadian tire money and x-rays as currency, so go break your arm, ask your grandpa for his CT stash, and get drunk. They have a hole in the bathroom that you can punch bigger, old school pinball, and a patio with solid tree coverage. Go here.
Just a nice, low key joint

The jukebox is fantastic and the crowd that frequents there knows how to to pick them. I spent all night saying, "I love this song". Also, the bartender makes a mean martini.
well the name is cool.. and their back patio is cool.. and frankly.. the name is so east coast it makes me want to drink a Clancy
For a great easy going night... always fun stuff happening at The underground... never know what to expect from the place... it's a hole in the wall but oh man damn good times... oh I forgot to mention Jagermeister on tap

Cheep booze and a wonderfully entertaining cast of local characters.
its a great place to grab a drink and listen to some good music (which you can even choose yourself from a great jukebox selection)
