Favourite things at Toronto Islands

feels like you're leaving the city behind, but at the same time, there are some terrific views of the Toronto skyline. There are lots of places to stop along the way, including beaches, Centreville amusement park, and the island cottages.

it's like you're out of the city but it's still all right there for you!

It's pretty, you can be with people ot find a ittle spot all alone. Do I really need to explain why an island park is awesome?

The ferry ride (let's hope there's never a bridge) transport you distinctly away from the city (and has a great view of it). The amusement park, farm and splash area are great for kids. The lighthouse is beautiful and one of the oldest Toronto structures (also site of a grisly ghost stories). Find a secluded spot on the beech away from the City with trees behind you and the vastness of Lake Ontario in front of you - makes you feel like you are in a completely different, tranquil place.

I still don't trust the water at the beach, but it's great to just go for the whole day and chill out. Bring a soccer ball, a tent, and this many joints, and you may never want to come home. The ferry rides are loads of fun too, despite the fact that it only takes a few minutes to get there.

Love seeing the Toronto downtown buildings from the ferry. It's also relaxing walking/biking around the island.

you just cant beat it for open space in Toronto. Waterfront, the ferry over. High Park is a close second. Great for the dirt bike!
