At the southern-most peak of the man-made peninsula known as Leslie Street Spit
one can find a lighthouse (the only active one in the city of Toronto). Standing there on a stormy spring day it feels like looking out onto the ocean rather than onto a lake. (I don't give you a picture. You've got to go see for yourself).
