I love the atmosphere with the piano player and the old pictures on the walls - it's the anti-Cineplex in the best possible way! And you can't beat the cheap tickets on Tuesdays!

without a doubt the only thing left to do during the evening for under $10.00 for two. thats right, with $4 tuesdays big ticket movies are cheaper to see in theaters than to rent from blockbuster! not only can you now invest in popcorn, if the movie is a bust you can play the baby grand sitting in the main entrance. truely a unique and must have experience!

The ticket price speaks for itself. Where else in the city can you watch first new movies for $7?

There's nothing like a classic dinner movie outing and Rainbow offers one of the cheapest Tuesday tix in town. I particularly like the Market Square location because of all the St. Lawrence Mkt neighbourhood offerings for pre- and post-film fun. Just don't expect repertory cinema selection; Rainbow shows movies for the masses. Big budget movies at proletariat prices? Hmmmm...interesting. Catch a flick and analyze it all afterwards over dinner or drinks (without breaking the bank.)

There's a lot to like about the Rainbow chain of movie theatres. They show new releases at much lower prices than the bigger chains, and their decor is way better. The Market Square location has a wicked mural and a piano that plays itself! The best thing about the theatre though, is their popcorn. It's fresher, crunchier, and more buttery than the competition's. Plus, there's a Dominion next door, so if you really want to, you can sneak in stuff like yogurt covered almonds and sesame sticks.
