Favourite things at Lee

More than five, preferably. We had 10. And the dishes were tiny, so we ordered many different sorts. And the atmosphere became festive. And there were many yummies. The combination of tastes and textures is pretty incredible. All hail the slaw.

it's a fun place for a special occasion because the food is amazing and it has a great casual atmosphere. Also, you get to share all the dishes so that makes it fun, too. Everything was delicious and there was a great variety of vegetable and meat/fish dishes. The Singaporean slaw is made with 18 (!) different vegetables and tastes awesome. It's nice to be able to get a little bit of the Susur Lee experience without totally breaking the bank.

never in my life have I tasted this kind of cold vegetable heaven. Maybe it was the freshness of the tomatoes, or maybe the swirl of avocado cream, or perhaps the tiny corn fritter puff and fresh herb garnish, but this was some top-notch soup people. summer only. mark your calendars.

it is soooo delicious - like 20 different ingredients (fennel, daikon, peanuts, pea shoots, edible pansy petals etc etc) in a fantastic ume and sesame dressing. Looks amazing. Tastes even better.

have you ever seen fries like this? And they are interlaced with spicy mayo!

the atmosphere is casual and funky, but the service is pristine (a hard combo to pull off). the prices are reasonable for the calibre of the food, which is top-notch. only one dish was diappointing - a baked lentil dish. every other mini dish was a wonderful flavour sensation, and gorgeous to look at.

the portions are small so you can sample lots of Susur's amazing dishes - definitely try the cole slaw!
