Favourite things at La Paloma Authentic Gelateria & Cafe

it's the closest you'll get to authentic Italian gelato.. reminds me of the yummy gelato in Trastavere...

I know there there are several ice cream shops which I haven't tried yet so I cannot say about them. I have been to LaPaloma a handful of time and their ice cream is great [love the hazelnut and tiramisu]. However due to it's location and price, I might have to find something closer downtown.

I've only been to the original location on St. Clair. W. and it's a great spot. It's been around since 1967 and there are so many options. The gelato is priced at a premium but it's tasty!

It's simply the best! In the summer, I like to walk around the cute neighbourhood while I devour my gelato (often by the time I get back to the starting point I'm ready for another scoop of the chocolate chip gelato....my favourite flavour!)

This is the real deal. I love their zabajone flavour.

It reminds me of true authentic gelato in Rome or Florence and makes you feel as if you are vacationing for the summer in Italy.

It has the greatest assortment of flavours, and a wide range of chocolates for this chocoholic.

There's a reason people line up for an hour to spend $9 on gelato - it's that good. I can't bring myself to buying it often, but it's a great treat when I'm feeling thin and rich.

The selection is so great.

Great variety. If you want something refreshing, try the lemon. It's quite tart, but very juicy.

by far the most amazing place for ice cream in the city - hands down!

Not only do they have the best gelato in Toronto (in amazing flavours like fig, grapefruit, baccio and tiramisu) but they often stay open till midnight and even later on the hottest summer nights - especially if the nearby public swimming pool is open late!

There's over 50 flavours, and it's just as good as the gelato in italy. I recommend the Nocciola and Limone.

The ferrero rocher gelato is the best!
