Delicious cilantro-laced chicken broth laden with black beans, melted cheese, peppers, tomatoes, corn and chicken, all drowning crispy fried tortilla triangles. If you're not up for the big breakkie, this is a satisfying and wholesome lighter alternative.

Soy milk and dutch cocoa get blendy with frozen banana and espresso with thick 'n tasty results. Such a good way to wake up on a weekend morn. Be sure to share though, unless this is all you want to put in your belly for brunch - the glass is probably 20 oz.

I hate this end of town. The restaurant, which seats like 20 ppl tops, was packed full of hipster douches who kept their sunglasses on while eating. The waitress was a total bitch. I asked for a slight variation on my order and by her reaction you'd think I asked for her first born child. BUT, was worth it all once I put my lips around the straw and sucked back that thick, sweet mango smoothie! If you get a screwdriver there in the AM make sure you tell her to put it in a short glass.

It has a great atmosphere, and amazing food. Expect lineups on the weekend for brunch (even during the winter), but it's usually worth it.

Heuvos Divorciados like no other! Chipotle jam in the morning is unbelievable.

it's not exactly romantic, but it's kitschy and fun, and i kinda like that better. lots of toy soldiers and 70s movie posters, and big bad coffee smoothies tall enough for sharing. and, when you're finished with your huevos divorciados (the bean and egg specialty) and toast soliders, there's lots of browse potential in the neighbourhood antique and vintage shops and around roncesvalles village.

They have a meal called "Toast Soldiers" or something similar, and you get 2 soft boiled eggs, your toast cut into strips to dip with and tiny little plastic soldier for keeps! It takes you back to the good old days of being a kid.
