Every Wednesday and Friday is The Long Lunch at the Prince of Ales. It's a great concept because they have live piano music in the bar! And don't think it's your average background elevator music - when I went, Daniel Abrahamson (the "piano man" if you will) did these really cool pop covers of songs like Womanizer and Lovestoned! Plus, he came over to our table, offered us a "song menu", and asked if there's anything we'd like to hear. It's a great reason to not go back to work!!

This is a great little newcomer to the west-end bar scene - dim and thrift-store arty, friendly staff, decent juke box, Cameron's on tap and a small but good selection of booze and beers in bottled form. Menu offerings thus far include a couple of daily-changing soups/stews and grilled cheese, and complementary bowls of popcorn and salty snacks (yum), but I hear brunch is on the horizon. Hipster hang quotient is high, but pretension is low. And basically that suits me fine. Drink here!
