Hey! Nice faves. I think I'd like to try that Brazilian place. Saving that now. And Googling for the address. And ditto what Wendy said - I didn't even know the Healthy Butcher had sandwiches. Yum.

Faves (34)
Fave Picture he's opened for nas this summer, he performs for awesome positive causes like younited, and much like shad he's hilarious and has something to say with his creative talent. he performed at caribana, has a video feat. kardinal offishal and he's really blowing up :) plus i used to visit his store when he worked retail. :)

Fave Picture Shad is a witty, poignant, powerful positive force in hip-hop scene, and happens to be from london, ontario and performs often in toronto. he recently was at much music, and played the mod club on sept. 17. juno nominated and polaris-shortlisted, give him a listen.

Baton Rouge Restaurant

they fall off the bone. literally. i had difficulty eating them with a fork because they were so tender that piercing the ribs resulted in shredded ribs :) plus they serve them with hot cinnamon apples as a side dish! their meals are very... rich. *tasty*, but riiiich. so i tend to once a year it,

The Old Curiosity Teashop
92 Main North, Markham
Fave Picture it is such a different, beautiful experience. the atmosphere is great, the building is a renovated historical site. the service is impeccable and the teas, oh the teas. they bring your tea around to let you inhale it before brewing and graham (a server) makes excellent recommendations. the food is delicious (try the potato and parsnip soup -- uncannily yummy), and the desserts/scones are not to be missed. a great interesting date spot. great place for a date.

Tea Emporium
15892 Bayview Avenue, Toronto
Fave Picture at the yonge + eglinton location the staff have been phenomenal. enthusiastic, knowledge, and passionate about tea. it makes a huge difference. they taught me a lot, steered me towards things i'd enjoy, and helped me save cash. they have a tremendous selection of high quality teas, and the price is great. for the amount of cups a $5.00 bag makes, you'd pay about 3.99 for the same amount of President's Choice lesser-quality stuff at the grocery store. there's also a nice, cozy sit-down area :)

Fave Picture its like a completely different world. you go from the heart of china town to a secluded and quiet street with quaint residences and great cafes and nooks, simply by turning a corner. baldwin st. runs from queen st. to mccaul, a bit south of college. it's a wonderful part of the city.

Rikishi Japanese Restaurant
833 Bloor W, Toronto
it is quiet, relatively little known (for now :P), and raved about by all my friends who've lived in or visited japan. delectable a la carte sushi, sumptuous shogayaki sauce, and divine yakitori are just a few highlights. it usually costs around $30.00 for sushi, appetizers, meal, and maybe a dessert, and its worth every penny. it's a short walk from the christie pits and possibly some of the most authentic and enjoyable japanese food in toronto :) yum.
