phil's fave bars is at Gladstone Hotel because the karaoke bar is always a blast in small groups or large... casual, unpretentious, great crowd, good energy... also really good for a birthday party... just don't go too late (especially if you want to sing)... it gets damn busy

phil's fave brunch spot is at Mitzi's Cafe & Gallery because I can show up with bedhead, and if I don't like their weekend poached eggs recipe (which I get 90% of the time), I can always fall back on their unparalleled pancake (... that's right, just one big fat oatmeal pancake).
