they're amazing with the thai peanut sauce. Extra enjoyable when paired with a crossword and someone special to get the answers you don't know. This place is stacked from wall to wall of wonderful comics and graphic novels!
They claim to be able to make 1,470 different burgers. With six different types of patties to choose from and 35 house specialties with names that are fun to order, you're bound to find a favourite -mine is the Bollywood burger.
after my first visit, it already became my favorite bookstore. There is no book (or "curiosity") in the store that I wouldn't want for myself. Amazingly eccentric collection. Excellent browsing venue.
I know I have a lot of bookstore faves - I really like books - but I couldn't resist adding another. I don't know how I walked passed this store so many times without going in. Everything about it is perfect, right down to the graphic damask print on the walls. They have a well chosen collection of books with a great selection of design and children's books.
they offer different levels of all you can eat at different prices. Great for vegetarians that have no interest in the sashimi. Vintage Depot Bloor and Landsdowne (east of landsdowne on bloor), Toronto It's like someone went through every value village and brought all of the good stuff here. Every tee has the right balance of camp and style, there's really not that many shirts that I looked at and said "this is too tacky". Not to mention their huge selection of Hats, Leather Jackets, Windbreakers, Glasses... The list goes on and on.
the store is pretty awesome - it's set up as a functional apartment that you get to browse through and buy from. Like a really big version of the home section in Urban Outfitters, there are a lot of really gimmicky things that are fun to look at but you can immediately talk yourself out of as being things that you don't really "need". It has been months since I was there, though, and I still can't shake the "need" for these dictionary necklaces.
you won't know that you aren't eating meat. The crispy sheets of bean curd with lemongrass sauce and the chicken balls are among favourites.
This is the most underground of underground theatres. There's something awesome going on every weekend, whether it's comedy/music/theatre. It's hard to find if you don't go with someone who "knows". There's also a resident cat, who may try to cuddle during the show. Showing Results 1-10 of 10 1
