Well, there's the beach...view of the water...the boardwalk...and the little parks... and the Queen St. East. shopping...It all makes for an excellent day...at the beach...well... without the swimming... but for a large urban city...it's not too bad.

Now I can live out all my road-tripping and large-item hauling dreams on a part-time, economical, relatively green basis. Living downtown, I prefer cycling and TTCing it where possible, but here and there, a girl needs a car or van, and Autoshare makes that possible on an hourly or daily basis, keeping hundreds of new vehicles parked around the city for easy and immediate access by members, around the clock. It's super convenient, and a great alternative to owning a car.

OK I think I had my all time favourite dessert today at the Drake. It was a little bit of all things delicious. A shot of pure chocolate, a cup of creme brulee, a chocolate tart, a lemon tart and to end it off a nut wrapped chocolate icecream bar. Does it get better than this?

I am licking my lips just thinking about how good it is - I even prefer it to the lobster there. It is steamed with delicious lemon, garlic, butter on the side and it is pure joy cracking open the dungeness crab legs - mmm mmmm

Until this past weekend, I had only the vaguest notion there was even a residential neighbourhood here. Then I went to some friends' housewarming, and there, beyond the apartment buildings and schools that border the park there, was a great, well-treed, mixed-use hood, with plenty of green space and quiet streets filled with adorable little homes. You're just minutes from the core, and close to all amenities, but it's nestled away enough that you feel you could be miles away.

it rocks! they have super fun dance afternoons on Sundays during the summer. Great music, great vibe.

Cafe 668 used to have delicious food but be a total dive ... until they moved and built an awesome new restaurant that has a gorgeous ambiance and delicious vegetarian food.

delicious moules and frites. The broth has a coconut lime flavour to it. It was piled high with fries. The ambience in the place is nice - cool, warm and minimalist.

They have an offleash dog area where she can run around without a care in the world.

A delicate, flavourful chicken broth with three perfect orbs of thin, tender, shrimp-stuffed dough, this is the kind of soup my dinner companion's Bubbie would have made if she were Chinese (he said). That means it's really good. My Bubbie is a Granny, but I'd have to concur. This is an outstanding dumpling soup to rival any that helped to set your standards for all soups to come. Delicious, and without any of that MSG umami so typical of garden variety wonton soup.

they offer great pieces at reasonable prices. The selection is good. Most of the furniture pieces are contemporary. The only challenge is they take awhile to bring them in but other than, highly recommend them.

Day or night, they have the best views of the city up here!
