Female, Engaged,
Just so you know, pureology got bought out by a big corporation and now it uses more economical ingredients, plus preservatives and not all their products are vegan. I have just noticed as now some of them don't say vegan anymore and my more recently bought products have different ingredients then those purchased a year ago. Why do corporations have to change a good product?
Hey forlk (?), OurFaves is having an event that is going to be next Thursday, Sept. 11. It's a wine tasting at Café Taste, plus a mini-screening after we have our special tutorial with the owner, Jeremy Day. Find out more details at our blog, ourfaves.wordpress.com. Hope you can make it, it'd be great to meet in person! Cheers, Frances aka m8ven
Hmmm. Not sure I'm an event expert. I tend to miss many of the biggest events in the city, but go out to lots of small cultural stuff - mostly that friends are part of. One event is the Live Rock Karaoke the OurFaves crew and friends are doing tonight at Tattoo Rock Parlour. Check out our Facebook group for info. Starts at 9, and you should totally come. Also, we're doing an all-Ontario wine and cheese mid-September as well as an OurFaves meetup, at Parkdale's Cafe Taste. Consult Facebook/our newsletter for more info. Otherwise, honestly, I just read the NOW or the InstantCoffee or check out my Facebook invites to see what looks good if I feel like hitting the town. I know, that's probably not much help though.
wow! it's such a great hood. I would totally live there. : ) Congrats on being one this week's Featured Favers btw!
Yay Magic Pony! You're right on the mark, there's always something fascinating inside. They've featured fine international artists too. Two of my faves are Becky Suss and Kozyndan. Genuinely nice people too.
great faves yo! keep 'em coming!
