Re: Fave vegan hair products at www.pureology.com

Just so you know, pureology got bought out by a big corporation and now it uses more economical ingredients, plus preservatives and not all their products are vegan. I have just noticed as now some of them don't say vegan anymore and my more recently bought products have different ingredients then those purchased a year ago. Why do corporations have to change a good product?

Hey forlk (?), OurFaves is having an event that is going to be next Thursday, Sept. 11. It's a wine tasting at Café Taste, plus a mini-screening after we have our special tutorial with the owner, Jeremy Day. Find out more details at our blog, ourfaves.wordpress.com. Hope you can make it, it'd be great to meet in person! Cheers, Frances aka m8ven

Hmmm. Not sure I'm an event expert. I tend to miss many of the biggest events in the city, but go out to lots of small cultural stuff - mostly that friends are part of. One event is the Live Rock Karaoke the OurFaves crew and friends are doing tonight at Tattoo Rock Parlour. Check out our Facebook group for info. Starts at 9, and you should totally come. Also, we're doing an all-Ontario wine and cheese mid-September as well as an OurFaves meetup, at Parkdale's Cafe Taste. Consult Facebook/our newsletter for more info. Otherwise, honestly, I just read the NOW or the InstantCoffee or check out my Facebook invites to see what looks good if I feel like hitting the town. I know, that's probably not much help though.

Faves (57)
Fave Picture lets face it, this blog is like the online toronto version of gossip girl ... there is nothing like advice on sassy styles, catty behaviour, and fabulous toronto finds to lift your mood. without fail i always find something new on this blog which prompts me to check out a new band or clothing line. amazing site for creativity and inspiration, or just a little bit of gossip to do the soul some good.

Langton Salon Spa
201 King E, Toronto
Fave Picture wow, now i am one of those people who has had gone to the same hair stylist since grade 8 and feels guilty about an appointment with anyone but. after moving to toronto i was hesitant to trust another unfamiliar stylist with this particular undertaking. although i had never been, i read up on langton salon and was pleasantly surprised to discover their flawless reputation. my appointment with joe was amazingly insightful and i even walked out with a purse-sized samples! (cut approx. $75+)

Nova Era Bakery

Fave Picture without a doubt the most flavourful garlic bread i have ever had. it is fresh chopped garlic with butter and topped with freshly minced herbs and grated parmesean cheese to add that extra little punch of flavour. for an entire baguette it is under $4 but you better get them while you can, they are a favourite!!

Richtree Market Restaurants
100 City Centre Drive, Mississauga
Fave Picture there is nothing like a long walk throught the streets of downtown toronto on a warm summer's day. stopping in at the BCE richtree tops off the afternoon perfectly with their delightfully fresh selections of pasta, panini's, salad, seafood, bbq options, as well as more desserts and goodies than you can imagine. continuing that lovely afternoon stroll may be required to work off this brunch.

Toba Restaurant
243 King Street East, Toronto
Fave Picture 'the relaxed, casual atmosphere at Toba makes it an ideal setting for a first or fiftieth date, or a brunch rendez-vous with busy friends.' this quaint dining space has so much personality between the pin up art on the walls and the explosive flavours found in these unique takes on classic recipes. the wine list is decent, with a variety of wines sold by the class or bottle at a fair price. definitely a place to stop when in the king east furniture and theatre district.
