Great faves, and thanks for the Trianon tip, I've been looking for a furniture store that has some classic/antique-y pieces so I'm going to check it out!

Stop the presses! Toronto now has its own version of Crif Dog. For anyone that has lived in NYC you will be all to familiar with the siren call of Crif Dog. Worry not Torontonians because now you too can enjoy the pleasures of 10 cm's of deliciousness! I'd be lying if I didn't say I was jealous that Buddha Dog has beaten me to market, but at least I don't need to lie awake dreaming about the next time I am going to NYC for work. I can just pop over to Ronces'ies to satisfy my craving.

From the former owner and chef of Teatro comes Tati Bistro. Like everyone we grow up - we go from wanting to be at the 'it' spot crowded with people drinking and eating to the opposite. Where eating takes precidence over drinking (there is still lots of drinking but it's a nice chewy red vs a vodka redbull).

I'll probably get in trouble for sharing this place. However a quick search for the Levack Block willl pull a bunch of results so word is getting out there. Skinny jeans and some article of AP clothing and you'll fit right in. All kidding aside Ossington is the new Queen West. Hot, fresh, young and cool.

If your tastes are more refined than sneakers and hoodies then check out Nomad - sister to Ransom. They have some great men's stuff from Comme Garcon to Wings & Horns. Someone once reffered to it as a "21st century trading post" - very true.

Awesome clothes - one of a kind blazers, very cool stuff. People stop me in the street all the time when i wear their stuff and ask where i got it. A former booze can with a giant stuffed marlin on the wall, this light-filled corner store has a vaguely Hemingway–in–Key West feel. Much of the menswear is either retro or reworked vintage; imaginative offerings include hoodies with prints of devils and pitchforks ($145), and waistcoats with appliqués of butterflies and boxes ($95). This is a true find. Beautiful brick and beam interior and friendly staff. But the real reason it is a fave is because of the menu items. They have pasta, pizza, steak and seafood but all with a fantastic twist. My fav was roasted organic spiced chicken on a stew of spicy sausage, golden raisins and creamed grits - delicious! If you are in the area or are looking for a quaint place to grab a bite a la Baldwin Street it is a must attend.

I have not been yet but it sounds great - will advise. Simon Carter (754 Queen West, (647) 428-7545), the pumpkin-coloured store that opened earlier this year on prime property near Trinity Bellwoods Park, is North America's flagship shop for the British brand that's gained a devoted following among those who like their classics with a twist. The beauty of Carter's clothes lies not merely in the cut, but attention to the smallest detail.
