I need something round to use as a handle for this bag I'm making... voila - a metal circle, I dunno what it's used for but whatever.

carolinela's fave Sunday brunch is at Hot House Cafe

carolinela's fave Sunday brunch is at Hot House Cafe because I grew up here. Amazing brunch with jazz.

carolinela's fave used bookstore / record shop is at BMV Books

carolinela's fave used bookstore / record shop is at BMV Books because really well priced books and a huge selection.

carolinela's fave Hair Salon is at Cooney For Hair

carolinela's fave Hair Salon is at Cooney For Hair because The vibe is really relaxed and they don't mind if you aren't the talkative type while they cut your hair. They are very careful and stylish. They upped the price though. :( It's a bit expensive.

carolinela's fave Chicken Pad Thai is at Real Thailand Restaurant

carolinela's fave Chicken Pad Thai is at Real Thailand Restaurant because The one on Queen, not the Bloor one.

carolinela's fave Sushi is at New Generation Sushi

carolinela's fave Sushi is at New Generation Sushi because Lots of delicious sushi for the money. It's really busy in the evenings. They do take-out.

carolinela's fave Cafe is at Le Gourmand

carolinela's fave Cafe is at Le Gourmand because They have really delicious food. Everything is great- hot chocolate with different percentages of chocolate, the cookies, the entrees. While I was waiting for them to give me my curry, I didn't realize they were going to serve it to me on a large platter like a restaurant. A bit expensive. They even have macarons.

carolinela's fave Butter Chicken is at Ruchi Restaurant

carolinela's fave Butter Chicken is at Ruchi Restaurant because They have the creamiest, richest butter chicken. I had some at other Indian restaurants like Babur and it didn't compare. It's also probably the unhealthiest, in that case.

carolinela's fave Butter Chicken Roti is at Ghandi

carolinela's fave Butter Chicken Roti is at Ghandi because Amazing, the first time it was a bit too salty but maybe my tastes changed. It actually tastes even better after you put it in the fridge.Ew... I don't like their other rotis. Bad experiences.

carolinela's fave Ice cream is at Greg's Ice Cream

carolinela's fave Ice cream is at Greg's Ice Cream because Toasted Marshmellow is really popular. I like sweet cream and lemon.

carolinela's fave hot chocolate is at SOMA Chocolatemaker

carolinela's fave hot chocolate is at SOMA Chocolatemaker because I have two favourite hot chocolate places. This one is like a liquid chocolate shot. It's called Mayan Hot Chocolate and it's kind of expensive for a little cup but it's worth it. It's pure chocolate, very spicy and hot. Once you taste this, you will probably revisit the event while you're daydreaming in lecture or wherever you are.

carolinela's fave Korean Food is at Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu

carolinela's fave Korean Food is at Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu because They serve soon tofu (a type of stew), bulgogi (grilled beef) and bibim bap (bowl of rice with additional things.) The prices are modest. $7 with tax.If you haven't tried Soon Tofu/Dubu, I urge you to go eat a bowl right now. It's like Korean comfort food. You get to crack an egg into your own bowl of stew (which cooks in the heat.) Afterwards, they fill the stone bowls, used for the rice, with water. This creates a little congee or whatever for you to eat. It's refreshing.

carolinela's fave restaurant in the whole city is at Toba Restaurant

carolinela's fave restaurant in the whole city is at Toba Restaurant because Oh my god... I love this place.I went here at lunch time with my friend while we were students at George Brown's summer baking class. After hours of labour-intensive baking with no break, it was relieving to just sit and enjoy the delicious food here.We had tea, there were many unique different tea flavours. And we both had the crab melt. It was so amazingly good... I think I also had the corned beef hash the second time, but oh my god. I will always remember that crab melt.

carolinela's fave Greasy spoon is at Mel's Montreal Delicatessen

carolinela's fave Greasy spoon is at Mel's Montreal Delicatessen because I went here twice with my friend. Some people don't like it. The same friend considers it equivalent to the cafeteria at our residence. But it's so much more than that. :)They serve nice big hearty breakfasts. The poutine is huge... enormous even and a bit too salty. Maybe you can ask for less salt, risking offending the patron but it's so cheap! Kitschy-cosy vibe.

carolinela's fave Place to chill is at Future Bakery & Cafe

carolinela's fave Place to chill is at Future Bakery & Cafe because nice atmosphere and very relaxed and cosy. It's a nice place to come in from the rain and chat with friends. I don't like the cakes and cookies though. They do serve mashed potatoes and perogies and an all day breakfast.
