Stunning, creamy, smooth gelato. About twenty flavours or so, all rich and intense. Blows all other places I've tried -- La Paloma, Solferino, Dolce Gelato, Sicilian Ice Cream Cafe, Ed's Real Scoop -- out of the water. Their rendition of bacio gelato seems off, but their chocolate is insane.

It's the closest thing to sushi in Japan that I can get in Toronto at a reasonable price. Both the nigiri and maki I've had at Japango have been skillfully formed with fresh fish. Tiny and charming, this sweet spot tucked away on Elizabeth St. is rightly a frequent haunt of workers who toil in and around city hall.

it's an outdoor community centre. community dinners at the outdoor oven, parades, impromptu musical performances, a cob house, and fabulous playground.

It may be a seafood restaurant but the oyster bar is where the best action happens. They've been slammed for off service before but the bar will ensure a great time as you watch the shuckers masterfully pull apart some beautiful bivalves. This fall season is my favourite time of year, plump crisp and gorgeous oysters from France with mineral melon and sweetness that will have you asking for a half dozen and probably more.

it is hands down the best Vietnamese cuisine in the city with the friendliest staff. I once went there three times in the same week because I couldn't stop thinking about it. It's also great for people who have mild nut allergies, as their entrees arent covered with nuts and peanuts and can be ordered without.

this is a cute lil man-made beachy area along the harbourfront which is a nice spot to take a break from your walk/bike ride/rollerblading to sit and relax in one of the muskoka chairs for a few minutes and look out over the lake to the islands. It was strangely not even very busy when I was there on a Saturday.

I've used this service on and off for a few years and love the fresh, in-season organic produce. It's so exciting to see that rubbermaid container waiting at my doorstep :)

The bags are splendid. And the people behind the bags are just as smart and fun. If you haven't checked out their spectacular and inspired Beer for Bags campaign, make a point of doing so next year. A bag for a 6 of Keith's and some Foster's tall boys. C'mon! Too great!

Best labaneh and hummus, with world class kebabs (tawouk, shislik, beef, you name it). Atmosphere is nice and middle eastern. Just wish they served Nargilehs (Hookah water pipes) for dessert ; )

Its original and authentic indian cuisine, the place is not the greatest when it comes to the interior. however the food is to die for. its not in a Escherichia coli to die for but a wow, this is some goooood shit.

Best Fillet Mignon in the city. Also try the flamin eskimo or whatever that dessert with fire is called.

the food is great, and that's always number one, but as well as great traditional viet dishes, you get atmospheric surrounds not typical of the mostly perfunctory pho resto set-ups around town. Brilliant.

if you're an Umbra fan, the bright pink facade of the new store will put a smile on your face and a spring in your step! Two floors of stylish, modern home accessories from picture frames and candle holders to bedding and coffee tables.

The jukebox is fantastic and the crowd that frequents there knows how to to pick them. I spent all night saying, "I love this song". Also, the bartender makes a mean martini.
