Ooohhh. Exactly like you say - this is the gravy I knew and loved as a kid. Brown, thick, and ladeled over fries from a cafeteria like Woolco's, or a diner like Diana Sweets. I can't say I've had much like this lately, but now I know where to head for a touch of guity pleasure nostalgia.
