After a couple of unlucky bicycle accidents that left me not only resentful of street car tracks but also fairly out-of-line, I had this place recommended to me. Specifically, Dr.Nicholas Ashfield (chiro) is wonderful and unlike most traditional doctors, has a refreshing holistic approach to treatments. He attends to the physical primarily, but also focuses on the energy channels & the psyche in relation to an injury. Oh, and you'll also see results pretty quickly. Must be all the magic.
If you have any creative inklings, this is a great place for both artsy kids and grown-ups who miss the arts'n'crafts corner in primary school. They have a wide selection of gigantic mugs, plates, vases, etc that you can decorate however you like! A great activity that is the perfect blend between relaxation and effort, during which you'll find your tongue sticking out the corner of your mouth in concentration on a number of occasions...but who doesn't like the excuse to stick your tongue out??
not only is the entire atmosphere totally different from a regular grocery store (shopping becomes an "experience" rather than a "chore") but you can find a huge & wonderful variety of eclectic, ethical, and most of all delicious food, plus the little "pharmacy" attached is a great place to find yummy smelling natural products to rub all over your bod. AND, as a bonus, the cashiers tend to be pretty rad-looking (rad= interesting bordering on weird).
