Oysters are my very favourite food in the world, and I hadn't heard about Starfish until now, so thanks again.

Haha.. I have not! The creton scares me due to the name and I saw it on a friend's plate once and it looked like a sausage puck, if I'm thinking of the right thing. Haha.. but I'll be sure to try it the next time I'm there!

Totally with you. The Devil's Workshop is indeed awesome. I have always thought that the wedding band workshop was a fantastic idea.

when is this weekday happy hour at forestview? lunch?

such great faves you! we share a few - tacos el asador, torito, pho phuong, terroni, and the vintage furniture of leslieville are faves of mine as well. can't wait to try da lu noodles, forestview dim sum and goat roti on dunn street. keep 'em coming! with all that foodie flair, you and your faves could make for a great feature spot in the weeks to come.

Re: Fave dim sum downtown at Forestview Chinese Re

Thanks for the tip re: Forestview. I usually do dim sum in the Chinese boonies as my immediate and extended family all live in North York! Dim sum is a family affair for me and I don't think my suburban fam would appreciate being dragged downtown for mediocre Chinese eats. However, my partner and I (who live and work downtown) are known to get cravings that will drive us to walk aimlessly in Chinatown. Forestview might have to be our next stop. :)

To be honest, other than one time in Paris, I've only ever been to Nazareth for Ethiopian, but I'd be open to try those places you said for sure! Maybe it's frivolous of me to "fave" a place when I haven't yet seen the competition, but then, I revel frivolity.

Hi Vanessa, I learned this morning that the name of the Fave will only show if you view it in the Fave page and not in the Messages page. But they are working on fixing this issue :) Anyway, yes this place have a nice chicken shawerma...I like the type of spice they use. It's usually juicy (other places have it dry). It sucks that I work and live far from it...otherwise, I would probably go there at least once a week ;) Cheers, Adel
