Melanie's Bistro
1870 Danforth Ave, Toronto
Happy food! It doesn't matter how you feel when you get here, you'll leave feeling happy. The food is amazing & the prices are very reasonable. I absolutely love Melanie's food! I'm working my way through the menu and have not been even remotely disappointed yet. The passion she brings to each dish is more than evident in this east end gem of a restaurant.

New York Cafe Restaurant Bar & Eatery
757 Broadview, Toronto
Right at the corner of Broadview & Danforth, this is old-school perfection. Fantastic, cheap & basic. No frills here but the portions are huge and the prices can't be beat. Great all-day breakfast and fantastic pizza-for-one or pizza-for-two. Love it.

Even though its a huge space right in the middle of "Downtown" North York & fronting onto Yonge St, it feels very private and quiet. There are a couple of levels with lots of trees and benches that give it a relaxing and personal feel. Also, on Thursdays throughout the summer there's a farmer's market. Love those fresh fruits & veggies!

Granite Brewery & Restaurant

Stout Drunken Burger is the best damn burger in town! Here's the description from the menu: "brushed with our famous stout drunken BBQ sauce and topped with sautéed mushrooms, jack cheese and BBQ peameal bacon." Could you ask for anything more?

Progressive, political and Canadian. This Magazine has been around for 40 years and continues to provide insightful, meaningful and independant coverage of the events that shape our country. This Mag's investigative journalism and commitment to the arts is only the beginning of what makes it such a fantastic read.

Kalyvia

Our favourite Greektown Restaurant. Great food & good service. Reasonably priced. The melitzanosalata dip is fantastic! So is the veal dinner and the mousaka.
