If you want to get a workout while learning some moves, take one of Gustavo's Latin Funk dance classes. His classes are the best fitness classes I've taken in the city. It is for all levels and it's really high energy. He teaches a mix of dance styles - Salsa, Reggaton, Ramba, Mambo, Cumbia, Merengue, Hip Hop and Africo Funk and Jazz. He works out of a number of gyms and community centres. You can pay for a set of classes or drop in. He also offers private and couples classes. Honjin 138 Davie Street, Vancouver
You must try the Sunshine roll and the tuna tataki. The ambiance is just average but it has top quality, fresh sushi. Lime 1130 Commercial Drive, Vancouver This is not the typical Commercial Drive restaurant. The decor is very funky. They have a wide variety of drinks - including their tequilla wasabi ceasar. The crispy avacado is like nothing I've ever had and is a must have. The spicy tuna rolls are the best in the city. I had the chocolate cheescake for dessert which is served on matcha sponge cake. Amazing! The Reef 1018 Commerical Drive, Vancouver
Best jerk chicken Roti. The Johnny Cakes they serve instead of bread are delicious.
I am a huge fan of brunch and I think Me & Julio has the best offering in the city. This Mexican restaurant (with a twist) serves delicious Benny's on cornbread, nice spicy chorizo and great plantains.
When you walk in, you get your choice of wine, latte, tea, juice and they continue to pamper you. They give you a long scalp massage prior to any cuts or styling. I highly recommend Erin who is a fantastic stylist. I am ridiculously bad at styling my hair but she'll cut it in a way that I can get it to look close to how it looked when I walked out of the salon. Rain uses Bumble & Bumble products which smell amazing and work really well. Try the B&B Surf Spray! I love guacamole that is not just blended and smooth but rather has avacado chunks and lots of flavor. The chips are amazing. Showing Results 1-7 of 7 1
