This historical rep cinema is home to Rue Morgue Cinemacabre Movie Nights every third thursday of the month. Rue Morgue presents advance and special screenings of new, rare and classic horror films once a month. It's always a great opportunity to see old classics, advanced screenings of anticipated releases and to catch them on the big screen.
Boasting the only patio within blocks, Axis is your best bet for boozing. Good brunch on Sundays too.

A DVD store that offers more than just the mainstream, Big Daddy's carries new and older releases, has an impressive Criterian Collection catalogue, and a wise selection of Cult and Horror titles. I only wish they didn't run on bankers hours.
Great finds for graphic novels, art books, magazines and comic books from the past and present.

Pandemonium is a narrow little store jammed packed with some hard to find used books, CD's, DVDs and hard to find music memorabilia. There's a great Vinyl section in the back for those who still own a turntable.
Expect to pay about half the price tag of retail but that's not bad considering the finds.
You can still find good buys and rentals on new and old DVD releases. They have a huge selection on all genre titles and their prices are reasonable to purchase.
