They carry items from brands that you can't find anywhere else in the city...I bought a jacket there - it's awesome knowing that it's a unique item I won't see anyone else wearing in toronto
If you're like me and struggle to pack a lunch to work or simply looking for already prepared dishes that you can enjoy at home, then this is the place. Basically, it's gourmet take-out, so you just have to heat it up in the microwave when you bring it home/to the office.
So instead of fast food, you get to enjoy restaurant dishes in the comfort of your home/office with minimal work!

They carry high end glasses by Tom Ford and Marc Jacob, and they do prescription lenses.
It ain't easy finding Tom Ford or Marc Jacob frames in the city where they also fit them with prescription lenses. - For that, this store is a fave!
Also, they've opened up a new location at the distillery district (check website for specific address)
The aroma alone awakens your taste buds as you enter this cosy, local restaurant in the Sheppard and Willowdale area.
The prices are reasonable and the food is exceptional for the price you pay.
The pasta sauces taste very authentic, very gourment !!
Watching the sunset on the Centre Island side by the shore (take the ferry over) during the summer offers a view like no other. The view is spectacular - so beautiful it looks like something out of a painting.
Definitely a place to check out in the summertime!
They are famous for their homemade tasting baked pies.
At this particular location, they also sell wholesome take home, homemade tasting dishes and soups.
I took home this ready to eat mango baked salmon fillet that was awesome - such unique take home dishes are what you will find, as well as their famous pies and desserts. great homemade tasting items refined by their culinary expertise.
A great local pub/bar where you can catch the game (Leafs, Raptors) or other sporting event (MMA or boxing fights).
Great because it has more menu selections than your usual pub/bar and the prices are really cheap, especially their specials (eg. Sun. and Mon. nite wings special with a drink, 49 cents each, min. of 10) - and their wings are really tasty! There's a special each day of the week, and the place has a great casual atmosphere.
This place truly lives up to it's name. The pastas they serve are uniquely "one of a kind".
For example, they have a pasta with Chicken, Duck, Shrimps, and Sweet Italian Sausage all in it.
Hence, don't expect traditional italian pasta here. Rather, it's a place worthy of trying to taste out of the ordinary pasta dishes. Also, the small, intimate dining area makes the place warm and inviting (think rose colour brown wooden tables and chairs)
One of my favourite shrimp pasta is served here.
On their old menu, it was called "Shrimps in Love". It is actually not on their new menu anymore, but you can still order it by asking your server. The rosay sauce in this pasta is full of flavour and captures both the juicy fresh tomatoes and shrimp flavour perfectly. The shrimps are also abundant and juicy as well.
More of a lunch place during the work week.
What makes this place good is that there are just no Chinese/Viet/Thai restaurants that's an acceptable walking distance in this area Yonge & Davenport Intersection (next to Toronto Reference Library) in the winter time.
The food is decent and is not very expensive at all. Hard press to find an Asian restaurant with comarable quality and prices in this area!!
There's not too many Moroccan restaurants where there's a live cultural belly dancing performance while you eat. The set meals to choose from have several courses, which besides the live performance is the main attraction to this place because you get to try several different Moroccan items. It is a bit pricey, but considering that you are getting a live performance & food, it's worth it to try.For the brave, they also ask for volunteers who they teach how to belly dance in front of everyo
Authentic Mexican food - our server was great in explaining to us all the different items on the menu from his home country (we asked a lot of questions!)
I think the best part about this place is that they have some dishes distinct to specific regions in Mexico. Also, they had a wide variety of different meats for everyone to chose from, so there was something for everyone.
Great place to find and buy accessories & notions that you need to make your own clothing (like interfacing for shirt collars, fasteners for waistcoats/vests, etc.) or if you're looking for such items to repair your worn clothing.
They have virtually every notion/accessary imaginable here.
Great place to get a comfortable Chair for your desk at home!!
It took me a long while to find a place that sold comfortable comfortable desk chairs for my desk at home. - So I wanted to share with everyone this place & save everyone the time in searching, if you are looking for such furniture.
They have ergonomic chairs that are much better than what the usual furniture "chain" stores offer, but yet are still affordable.
The chairs they carry are also super durable.
Looking for a Fastfood burrito or quesadilla but want something more refined than taco bell or Burrito Boys?
At this place, you can get such a burrito/quesadilla - Mostly take out, but there are seats for sit down as well.
You can taste that the ingredients they use are more authentic in terms of mexican cuisine - so the main draw of this place is getting a higher quality burritos but still being able to get the quick service (as oppose to having to go to a sit down restuarant)
I've been to the Queen Street West Location between Bathurst and Ossington and it's great.
It's not easy to find a good fish and chips place in Toronto and this place is great. It's more of a take out place because there's only 3 or 4 seats.
It's pricey for a fish and chips stand, but they give you lots of fish and fries.
Honestly, there's no other place you want to consider shopping when it comes to hair products. This store (especially the one at Steeles and Yonge) in North York carries so many different hair products it's incredible. Because this is basically all they sell, they will always have more choices to select from than your salons. The staff is also very knowledgeable - just ask them what you are looking for and they will let you know all your choices -check out their no hassle guarantee on website
Simply one of the best burger places in town. Sure the staff wear paper hats and the place looks dingy, but the burgers tastes as if you went out, bought the best beef patty you can find, and cooked it on your background grill.
Always steady with customers, whether it's lunch time or 9:30 at night because of their delicious city famous burgers.

More dapper sibling store to Noise. Carries Men's clothing, with brands such as Ben Sherman's, WESC.
Also carries a good variety of unique one of a kind belts in their glass display case.
Great selection of urban higher end street wear - they carry Boxfresh here, which is a cool urban street brand that's big in the UK.
Also, they carry Volcom, and Spiewak.
Great selection of Toronto Beer - this bar is part of a brewery. In the summertime is the best time to go, because you can sit on the patio and truly take in the Distillery District setting/Architecture.
As said, the organic beer is good (not many places serve it).
The food is pub food - their wings come in some cool sauces beside the usual mild/medium/hot/honey garlic choices, which was interesting to try.
I agree...really cool creations - it's not as smooth as ice cream, but still pretty good, and for people trying to avoid diary, their soy ice cream is a great choice.
So many flavours to choose from - I like the Lychee flavour the best thus far.
I think the strengths of this store is the Great selection of jeans for both men's and women's, for brands like J Brand, Diesel, G-Star. Basically this store carries high end urban wear brands.
Their wide selection of G-Star and Diesel should be noted for their men's wear, which sets them apart.
I've also seen them carry real Ice Cream and Bathing Ape stuff here.

Unique, one of a kind women's jewelry from independent artists/designers from all over the world.
Great place to buy a gift - b/c the items here are so unique.
Great Brunch place, chic, on the College Street Strip.
Best way to experience this place is Sunday for Brunch in the summer on the patio...because can then experience the laid back atmosphere that this place is all about.
