Hey! Nice favs...I have a lot of the same ones. I just moved into the Annex too, so I hope to find many more!
Is that the York Lanes salon? My friend totally swore by that place while she was living at Passy. Her hair did always look fabulous after a blowout there. Never could bring myself to get my hair done at Kliks, but now I'm wishing that I did! I do need a haircut too!
well - it is thanks to people like you!
you have some awesome faves! keep em coming!
Hey Erin, Yes, check out Sweaty Betty's. It's fab. Good luck with the J-School app process. Competitive, yes; but I'm sure you've got the chops! I did my LL.B. @ Osgoode. Now I'm articling after surviving the bar admissions exam process and will be “called to the bar” next year. So to answer your question: no, I'm not practicing as a lawyer...yet. Slow and steady. Robin's right. You are a prolific faver. Something tells me your hooked on favin'. :P
damn lady! you are a prolific faver! keep up the good work.
I did my undergrad at McGill and my law degree at York (though usually non-York people only know the school by Osgoode and ask which uni it is associated with). I just finished this past spring and happily working far away from the Keele campus. ;)
Oh, and re: COBS. They're not frou frou artisan-style so don't go there if you are looking for French bread but they've got nice North American soft breads. You should definitely check it out if you like fresh baked goodies. ;)
I think that this was probably my favourite place to eat at York Lanes too. It's a toss-up between Indian Flavour or Sakura (for the Korean more so than the Japanese offerings.) In reality, I usually brought my food to school or ate in the Osgoode cafeteria which is definitely NOT my fave place to eat. :P
great!
not sure. i'll have to look into it tomorrow. thanks for letting me know.
hey erin - the university guide launched today. you can now join your campus neighbourhood at http://toronto.ourfaves.com/guide/york_keele. and if you've got faves for that area, please share them!
Hey, same to you. Re: Johny Banana...I did a review on them so I may have gotten special treatment, haha - you never know with these things. The owner was really nice to me and very enthusiastic about the place, and I love Mexican food, so it was good times. The hotel bar is fun - it's very close to the Eaton Centre. It's not that big, but the rooftop hot tub is amazing...there's a huge video screen that takes up the whole wall, so you can sit in the whirlpool and see the Toronto skyline or watch whatever they're showing the on screen. The rooms were average but the bar and the facilities were very nice.
Hello there. Thanks for the add. :) Neat faves. I'm especially curious about your hotel bar suggestion. You know, everyone seems to love Johny Banana but I wasn't thrilled about my only experience there. Guess I'll have to give it another go. :)
Thanks, Robin, and hey, Candice!
hey erin! welcome to ourfaves! nice work so far. keep 'em coming!
great faves!
