It's delicious, affordable, and generously served! Great with hot and sour soup to start.
Mmmmmm, so good. Also sooooo expensive, but I keep going back, so they must be worth it.
Great place to take a shopping break and reload on sugar in the summer.
Lots of vintage and new, as well as coffee shops, bookstores and good ol' Ben and Jerry's.
Racks upon racks of vintage (or vintage-esque) band t-shirts featuring The Clash, The Ramones et al, plus a huge selection of vintage jackets and shoes. You might not find a ton of clothes for yourself here if you're female, but it's a good place to shop for the boyfriend if he is so inclined to such things.
I discovered this designer at L'Oreal Fashion Week, and fell in love with her unique pieces. I love her use of colour, pattern and texture! Far from boring, her jewelry is funky and classy all at once, perfect for those wanting a one-of-a-kind look. Website: http://melissaclementedesigns.com/
This guy knows his street meat.
Because it's a week of hot parties, open bars, and above all - amazing runway shows!
In the heart of the city, beneath the beautiful city lights, it's as romantic as you make it!
If you're tall like me, you'll love Parasuco's jeans - the only brand I've ever had to get hemmed! They have jeans for all body types, from skinny to curvy, and tons of styles to suit your mood. Moderately to expensively priced, but they last for years - I have pairs I've been wearing for half a decade, and they still look great!

I know they're a big corporate giant, but I love Lenscrafters selection and fast service. I've tried smaller boutiques, as the hippie in me hates buying into the almost-monopoly Lenscrafters clearly has, but I'm never satisfied anywhere else. Ahhh, well. Such is life.
Perfect for the modern girl who wants to feel like a princess in her designer cocktail dress. Always fun and trendy, the clothes here are drool worthy.
From an architectural perspective, the building is gorgeous, and from a musical standpoint, the acoustics are amazing. A really lovely place to see the opera - after three solid hours of Wagner, you'll appreciate the comfy seats!
If you can find a seat, it's a great place to grab a coffee and a pastry.
Homey and comfortable, this British style pub is a local fave. Great for casual meals or a beer with friends.
I love this place sooooo much. I'm by no means devout, and probably go to church twice a year, but the building is gorgeous and a central part of annex life. It's being torn down soon - appreciate it while you can! :(
Formerly The Docks, this is the best place for to dance and get your drink on to your fave band. I saw Metric here in February 08, and it was amazing. Huge and airy inside, and street meat vendors ready to feed your drunk ass on the way home - perfection. This venue is out of the way, but worth it.
Random, but true - the convenience shop in the Finch subway station always has gorgeous flowers for cheap. Get some for your significant other, or buy some $10 roses for your kitchen table!
Best lunch on Bloor Street, and for under $9! You get an entree of your choice, 2 mini spring rolls, and either soup or salad. The whole thing is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. I love this place for lunch on the go, or dinner out with friends.
Have you been to this place? It's STUNNING. The sound is amazing and the ambiance, lovely. Roy Thompson Hall will never feel the same having experienced the Four Seasons centre...definitely one of Toronto's architectural highlights.
Located on the York University campus, I've gotten my hair cut here for the past four years (when I'm too tired/busy/lazy to leave campus and go elsewhere.) Reasonably priced, friendly, and I've never gotten a bad cut. They did a great job on my highlights a few months back too, and actually listen when you describe what you'd like done! Great place.
Great location and cute little shops...nice place to swing by during an afternoon of shopping in Yorkville!
I just love the vibe at this quaint little park in the outskirts of the Annex. Perfect place to relax with a book in the summer months, or take the kids (if you have any).
Great Thai food when you're out in the 'burbs.
I have a friend who actually dreams about the brunch here.
