Hey Mom, so here's a little b-day present. I set you up with an account on ourfaves.com. Basically, you add your favorite things/places in Toronto and see what other people recommend based on key words and searches. I figure since your possibley moving further away from downtown, this could be a nice way to keep you and Richard downtown, where all the fun is. Let me know if you need any help setting up your profile. We could do it this weekend if you want... Love, Adam

Sushi grade tuna lightly seared with a sesame seed crust and served with a generous portion of green beans ,baby potatoes, grape tomatoes and olives; at this Kosher dairy restaurant. I also had excellent spring rolls, creme brulee for dessert and sampled my friend's apple bread pudding drizzled with caramel sauce_a religious experience!!!!! This bistro answers to a higher authority.

After a work-out, the owner of the juice bar at Premier Fitness in Yorkdale makes me a big house salad with a generous tuna scoop on top. Also available is a decent baked salmon with rice and salad for about $6.

Located in the food court in Lawrence Square (Allen Rd. and Marlee-Lawrence West Station). This very fresh salad bar is available weekdays for lunch. Run by a friendly Korean couple, this salad bar features freshly made Korean veggie pancakes and Korean sweet potato glass thread noodles. They make them fresh every morning. In addition to several different salads, there is sushi, sticky rice, mini-wraps and other healthy choices. Priced by the pound, my lunch with coffee is always under $5.

The Village Chill
Lonsdale Ave.
Toronto

Category: Other
The Viilage Chill ,on Lonsdale Ave. just east of Spadina. Rd., is located in the heart of Forest Hill Village. It's my fave not only because they serve low-fat soft serve yogurt in all of the many fruity combinations but because it's a great place to people watch; and they have dip'n'dots. You can dine at one of the restaurants in the area and then for dessert stroll over to The Village Chill and "chill" on one of the nearby park benches!!
