Random, but true - the convenience shop in the Finch subway station always has gorgeous flowers for cheap. Get some for your significant other, or buy some $10 roses for your kitchen table!

I discovered this designer at L'Oreal Fashion Week, and fell in love with her unique pieces. I love her use of colour, pattern and texture! Far from boring, her jewelry is funky and classy all at once, perfect for those wanting a one-of-a-kind look. Website: http://melissaclementedesigns.com/

Racks upon racks of vintage (or vintage-esque) band t-shirts featuring The Clash, The Ramones et al, plus a huge selection of vintage jackets and shoes. You might not find a ton of clothes for yourself here if you're female, but it's a good place to shop for the boyfriend if he is so inclined to such things.

The store is small enough to make you feel like you're having an intimate shopping experience but just large enough to hold all the hottest labels. The jewelry at the front is also pretty funky.

Fashion Crimes
322 1/2 Queen St. W., Toronto
I loved playing dress up as a kid. Pearls, boas, feathers, lace, and crystals have been a permanent staple in my childhood memory, as it is a permanent staple in the decor and clothing found underneath the crystal chandeliers, Venetian mirrors, and lavish fitting room curtains. One cannot help but be swept away in amazement, and brought back to the days of playing dress up with your mother’s clothing. The store houses classic, vintage styles with its own modern twist. I LOVE it!

Royal Ontario Museum (ROM)

They have amazing art and cultural exhibits along side old favourites like the batcave and the dinosaurs. I myself am obsessed with the mummies in the Eqypt section - you can see the hair! The toes! Oh my. The new interactive area for children is really great if you have kids or young relatives, and the giftshop is a good place to pick up unique gifts. Only $10 to get in on Friday evenings after 4:30, the perfect place for a nerd date!
