Happening this year August 21-24 at St. Lawrence Market, Buskerfest will make you feel like you've fallen down the rabbit hole! All four days, Front St. from Jarvis to Yonge will be overrun by street musicians, contortionists, clowns, magicians and artists of all kinds. Plus, this year, proceeds from selected performances will go to Epilepsy Toronto.

A 10 day festival that features some of the best (and possibly worst) theatre in the city! All the plays are chosen by lottery, so pay attention to the NOW and EYE Weekly reports on the festival to keep tabs on what's good. Some shows that have made a big splash over the last few years include The Drowsy Chaperone, Bash'd and Funny Business - The Musical.

I get to rub shoulders with horror movie legends like George A. Romero and Dario Argento (pictured). The fest is partnered with the Hobbystar Fan Expo, which is a ginormous convention that caters to lovers of anime, comic books, and sci-fi- so if an evil Klingon steals your lunch money, a Jedi is never far, far away. Or you could just tell his mom to get it back for ya. Either way works.
