A great natural retreat, I recommend beach 4 but be patient getting there. When you had enough wilderness, you can take in some history at Discovery Harbour, have dinner at the Captain's Table and see a show at the King's Wharf Theatre.

Somewhere so close, where you can feel so far. Oh yeah, and I saw fireflies and turtles. 'Nuff said...

I still don't trust the water at the beach, but it's great to just go for the whole day and chill out. Bring a soccer ball, a tent, and this many joints, and you may never want to come home. The ferry rides are loads of fun too, despite the fact that it only takes a few minutes to get there.

within an hour-and-a-half you can be in the centre of Mennonite country - plenty of fresh air, beautiful farms, and horses and buggies. and the market is full of tasty treats and handicrafts produced using old-fashioned methods. it's a fun diversion for a day.

it's a really beautiful spot, with gorgeous hiking, a string of interconnected beaches with beautiful clean water and sandbars that let you walk out in the lake forever. the campsites are really large, well-treed and private. you can rent canoes as well. great even as a day trip.

It is such a great park full of nice trails and some great trees where to have a picnic and read a good book under.

It has cheesey tourist attractions, restaurants and the cassino.

Love seeing the Toronto downtown buildings from the ferry. It's also relaxing walking/biking around the island.

it has one of the nicer beaches in Toronto for playing beach volleyball and there are always tons of people there on the weekend!

THE KIDS LOVE IT, WE CAN RIDE BIKES, HAVE A PICNIC AND ENJOY THE FRESH AIR. tHE KIDS ALSO LIKE IT BECAUSE THEY GET TO TAKE A BOAT OVER TO THE ISLAND

I could ride roller coasters all day.

I have four kids....and my husband and I can be kids too!!!!
