The park and the community centre are fantastic for kids, and parents. I have taken my 3 year old there since he was born, and it's a great park for kids to have safe fun in, but also for parents to meet other, interesting parents. Trinity and Duffering Grove are the best parks in Toronto. They also both have a very strong community of neighbourhood folks, which create a fantastic feeling of a park that the entire community is invested in.

Such a hidden gem in the heart of Scarborough, I live nearby, so have taken the opportunity of walking through there about a million times. The grounds are like nothing I've ever seen. For years a group of artists lived in the Inn, while they were there, any time they noticed a beautiful building slated for demolition they would send a truck and rescue part of the building, so as you walk through, you will find massive pillars, beautiful archways, statues, all in the middle of a forrest.

the fitness trail is a hidden gem, Colborne Lodge is a fun historical visit, an outdoor zoo, and a kitschy restaurant in the middle of it all

it's huge, beautiful and full of different things to do depending on which day you go. I've had a fun game of bocce there, been toboganning, ran around with a dog or two - there's no limit!

It's right behind my house, it's huge and when you're on the trails you don't even feel like you're in the city.

Whether you're chilling on a blanket with a spliff, tossing a frisbee or strolling with a cute date, this park can accomodate all of those activities. There are always festivals and events going on too. The best part is there are no big, stinky, loud dogs running around because there's a separate dog park area.

this huge beautiful park so close to downtown, we are lucky to have it. but now we have to destroy those horrid tall condos blotting the skyline to the south.

it's a nice open field right behind the beaches. A perfect place to play a game of soccer, football and baseball with your friends. When you're tired, just walk over to the beaches for a stroll.

The ferry ride (let's hope there's never a bridge) transport you distinctly away from the city (and has a great view of it). The amusement park, farm and splash area are great for kids. The lighthouse is beautiful and one of the oldest Toronto structures (also site of a grisly ghost stories). Find a secluded spot on the beech away from the City with trees behind you and the vastness of Lake Ontario in front of you - makes you feel like you are in a completely different, tranquil place.
