they have an excellent atmosphere that is relaxed, delicious crepes - both sweet and savoury, organic fair trade coffee (go for the chocolate matcha coffee), and delicious home made truffles.
Their iced matcha chai latte is the perfect summertime pick me up and all their food and drinks are organic. Their laid back atmosphere, combined with high ceilings, open windows and free wi-fi create an ideal space for working.
They use organic milk - the beans are freshly ground/per cup - they add great images to their lattes!
In the distillery. Their cappucino is amazing and I love the chocolate stir sticks!
place is in the basement of the market across from the rice vendor
amazing cappuccino! don't know what they are called but perfect, really.
They are finally opening one, can't wait to check it out.
I love the people that work there because they create a very positive vibe and the coffee is sooo good.
Organic, fair trade coffee that simply tastes the best in the city. Great staff and fun expresso lovers in this awesome up-and-coming neighbourhood. Worth the trip to Leslieville.
What can I say-love there coffee ;)

Birds and Beans is one of a kind, offering only the best in coffee, and the best in experience. They sources their un-roasted coffees from estates & small collectives. The owners, David & Madeleine, roast & taste & tweak until the flavours are just right. They are Green business, community players and are friendly to boot. Try a breakfast cookie with a Brazil coffee (tell them John the Heretic sent you:) and you will see how good they are!
really good caps and lattes! real cheap too!
A great place to meet up with people when you're strolling around Kensington.
their coffee is effing delicious and they use eco-friendly cups and mike and jen are lovely. today i tried the "red mocha" for the first time, and 8 hours later i'm still sailing: double espresso mixed with hot chocolate and a couple dashes of cayenne - yow!
i like my coffee, and my women, strong and organic. that's why i hang out at ideal!
Red mocha ( chocolate and cayenne coffee)
Banana bread
Scones
jen and mike and all the good looking people who are kind enough to pour the coffee to all us grunting and mumbling pre caffeine zombies with a smile
music is good
internets!

Ahhh... excellent americano, perfect service: not pushy, not fake, just makes the coffee perfectly.
If you have ever been there on a nice summer afternoon in the summer, then you already know why mercury coffee is great. Not to forget, all the staff are really nice. Alex is working hard on perfecting his decorative latte.
runner ups would be Jet Fuel and Marrs (i like crappy diner/coffee shops. Marrs, that is.)

Laziness plays a factor in why I caffeinate at Bulldog Coffee: it's close to a good friend's house. Regardless, the espresso is creamy and rich, the decor modern, and the prices reasonable. Hot chocolate is made with Ghirardelli. Ross, the owner and head barista, wins all sorts of awards for his fern and heart foam art, but he has quite a temper. Some days he loves you, other days you should just get your damn coffee and go.

I love this experience, the coffee here always seems to taste a little better.
My secret hideaway ;)
good mocha, friendly staff, comfortable place, free wi-fi! (Church/Bloor location)
I feel comfortable there. They make a decent soy latte, and it's a great place to read a book or meet a friend on a quiet day.
