Top 5 Places:

  2. Green Mango (6 faves)
  3. East! (5 faves)
  4. Thai Princess Restaurant (4 faves)
  5. Spring Rolls (4 faves)
Conveniently placed next to Eaton's Centre, Salad King provides great Thai food for an affordable price. The decor inside is quite chic as well. Try the Panang curry or the Thai Islamic Noodles (which are not on the menu - you have to ask for it) - it's absolutely delicious!

They have the best Thai Food I have tasted in Toronto area. Definitely genuine. Plus the service is fabulous.

Their Yonge St. location (north of Charles) has the best, most fresh thai food in the city. And the prices have barely changed at all in 10 years, for huge portions!

If you are looking for a great Thai place West of Toronto, look no further than Taste of Thailand Cuisine. I used to go to Green Mango on Bloor and Royal York all the time, but it was a hassle to find a parking spot until a friend recommended another Thai place to me just West of Kipling. Great place for Thai food, one of the bests Thai food that I have been to plus free parking. I would recommend this place to anyone. Try them out, you will love it. : )

Back in the day, the Mango was a hole in the wall on Yonge St near the Brass Rail, serving $5 noodle combos and coconut soups. It was tiny and cramped, with a line of hungry customers stretching out the door. Now there are several locations, including a posh sit-down place across the road from the original (which is still open). Green curry vegetables and basil chicken are personal faves. True story: I once flew a take-out container of their food to Vancouver for my cousin.

Well, this one's a tossup because I have other favorite Thai places, but the clever dishes here and above all, the friendly welcome put ftt over the top. The veggie dishes are particularly creative. Try the Emerald Curry & the Spicy Eggplant.

Its a causual dining experience that is lively and energetic. The food is by far the best around and authentic. The golden curry chicken is to die for as is the pad thai! I love the chili scale...some days I like it spicy and other days hot hot hot!!!

The food is authentic and delicious, the wait staff are friendly and efficient, and best of all it's only a few blocks from my home!

Real Thailand was the winner of my search for the best Pad Thai in Toronto. As someone who can't tolerate hot spices, it was difficult to find a pad thai that was flavourful without being spicy, but Real Thailand's pad thai is exquisite. They also make fantastic spring rolls, and a tamarind beef that is to die for.
