Favourite things at The Drake Hotel

OK I think I had my all time favourite dessert today at the Drake. It was a little bit of all things delicious. A shot of pure chocolate, a cup of creme brulee, a chocolate tart, a lemon tart and to end it off a nut wrapped chocolate icecream bar. Does it get better than this?

Great food and even better atmosphere

I love the drake. The patio during the summer or winter is the place to be. I also love when Skratch Bastid is there!

You're not going to believe it, but their fries are better than their mojitos. They're served with an incredible mayo.

Great place for drinks. Even a cozy concert venue. Gorgeous decor.

Fun to go. Go with a group of people and share a bottle of wine. Good place to go and talk with your friends on the patio.

I love The Drake’s new look and it’s guaranteed to be busy there. Plus, when you walk down the stairs from the upstairs patio, check out the creepy looking sculpture of the back of a man’s head and back – apparently, it’s made with human hair. It’s eerily lifelike.

it's a very cool relaxed atmosphere, and the bartenders are talented... what's not to love?

the surrounds are the perfect balance of big ol' trees, heritage buildings, queen west west fashion inspiration, artfully mismatched furniture, and, most importantly, a display of tasty-looking breakfast options, all available from the menu.

a melange of grilled chicken, grapes, walnuts and a curry mayo dressing are a great way to dress up a couple slices of fresh challah, if you ask me.

it's one of the nicer patios in the city, with an awesome, young, trendy crowd to boot.

their sky bar is great in the summer - they have loungers and play movies on the wall.

big comfy couches that you can fall into in the winter and awesome lounge chairs on the patio in the summer... not so busy on the weekend in the days so there is enough peace and quiet to get deep into a good book

love the upstair patio in the summer time. it's relaxing to sit on the oversize couch (or bed) and enjoy delicious martini.

it's a relaxed atmosphere on the patio with comfy bed style booths, perfect for the midday summer sippers... while chatting

it's open all year round, its not pretencious, its always a good night at the drake... something intersting always happens...

they have a delicious menu.... try the amazing fish taco, the lobster sushi, mmmmm.... good!
