Favourite things at Rosie Robin A Touch of Convenience

I visited this joint in the summer for brunch because I had heard the cook worked in a few reputable kitchens in Toronto as a sous-chef. The food is delightful and the setup is interesting, the cook serves, cooks, and possibly cleans the petit eatery. As well, Rosa is a sweet woman and very friendly.

Eating breakfast in the back of a convenience store was never my thing until I went to Rosie's and had the Deluxe. Imagine it: two toasts, each covered with sauted spinach, bacon, slices of tomatoes, a perfectly poached egg and a slice of melting brie. Adequate homefries that are never undercooked and an apple shaped like a swan fill the rest of the plate. One thing - don't go there dying of hunger as it can take a while. On the upside, they have an excellent selection of out-dated tabloid
